    Ultrasonic cleaners

    I've just brought a cleaner and I like to know what the best liquid to put in to clean my airbrush Cheers!!Geegad

    Nothing volatile as it will get warm. I use Muc-Off (meant for cleaning mountain bikes) in mine. Available from Halfords.

      I'd be very cautious here. The manufacturer should clearly state what liquids to use and you should always be guided accordingly. I have seem large cast iron parts almost dissolved overlight when the wrong liquid was used so I'm very wary of these things.

      If you haven't got any manufacturers instructions I would try to contact them for guidance and if you have bought it second hand I would wait until someone who has experience of the machines can share thier experiences. I certainly wouldn't just stick a liquid and your air brush in to see what happens!

          I use about 90% warm water 10% airbrush cleaner and so far I've not had any problems, that said I only use acrylic paints so can't say what you need for enamels.
