Sorry to hear that Ken. All you can do is support her. I lost both my parents some years ago and it hurts a lot no matter what age you or they are. You have my sympathy.

Not sure what's going on here, she wasn't my mum but I'm finding myself getting upset, it's funny what sets you off, someone in the family will text condolences with it little story and you're off, when I first met pams parents they took me for a tour round her childhood area we got in their car (a two door) I got in the back, which involved holding onto the door jamb to get in and her mum shut the door on my hand, I said " excuse me would you mind opening the door" when they realised what had happened she was so upset and insisted I go in doors and run it under the you cold tap. My politeness " excuse me would you mind opening the door" became legendary for all to have a laugh (with me not at my expense, they are a lovely family) or when we was indoors and she said are you col I said pardon which she replied are you col (a bit louder ( that part of Scotland are very quietly spoken and she thought I hadn't heard)) I said pardon, this went on a few times, I was just about to say yes (just to finish it ) my missus said she's asking if your cold. Another legendary story in the family, they are such a lovely family, feel so bad for my missus and Joe her husband, him and pam tried to speak tonight but I had to take the phone, it's so difficult to know what to say.
