As If She's Not Got Enough Problems

Hi all i think I've torn a ligament, I was taking the Dec's down at work, I stepped of the steps and heard a pop from my calf followed by excruciating pain, now I can barely walk and stairs are a no, no my step daughter is a physio and is coming over. But that's all my missus needs now, I feel like a right useless idiot now.

Trouble is we may have to go to Scotland in the next few days for the funeral and I can barely walk.

Apparently I've partially torn the gastrocnemius muscle, lucky as if I had torn it completely would be a hospital job, have to see a physio (lucky my daughter in law is one) so not as bad as first thought (supposed to rest it but my boss wouldn't like that)(what with wanting time off for a funeral too)

Do what your Physio says Ken. I tore ligaments in my knee early this year and didn't get to Physio until October. It has helped but there is permanent damage done to knee. I refused a sick note and went straight back to work on crutches within a week of it happening. So much more could have been done at the time but our pathetic doctors were not interested.
