Well, John, Scale Model Shop, has come up trumps again


I feel as though I am solvent again


The photo etch hold while you cut tool is something I have long wondered why anyone would want. After working on the BT-7 photo etch, I now realise that I do indeed want, if not need, one.

To be honest John, it wasn't that easy to unpack either I did wonder wether I should have left the brass and plastic tube out of the order but then I thought, naaa he likes a challenge

Who says I am not lol.... Yep, it sounds bad doesn't it but all is well now. It was nearly as bad as finding my Kindle battery was dead one lunchtime at work...... That horror will live with me forever, I had to listen to inane gossip instead

Hi graham I use Tamiya thin and I also use mr cement but I don't know what the White Tamiya cement is , can you let me in on its good points or bad points ( I like to have what I need just in case

The white cap is still a liquid but a tad thicker than extra thin..... so I suppose that would just be thin? Anyway, it is a bit slower setting and is good for where you have to apply glue to one surface and then add the part to be glued. Gives you a tad more time to align parts before the 'grab' or evaporation. It also has a slightly better gap filling ability but not quite as thick as Cotacta or Precision glues.


So, for me, two parts held together then it is green cap using capillary action. Things like wheels then it is white cap into the hole of the wheel or onto the axle then put the two parts together.

I'll get a bottle me thinks ( I have to make new hood clasps for the bonnets on my whippet tank as I used tweezers then extra thin but lost all 4 as pinged ( prob need a thicker slower setting like you suggest prob give me better manoeuvre to get in place before it sets.
