I agree with a lot of the above comments. I belong to IPMS Ireland, it is a great forum. Lots of very friendly and helpful people, so I urge you all to go have a look. there is no over the top comments and not too many rivet counters, so that’s my tuppence worth on subject, by the like I also like this forum a lot.
I have a few forums saved and I check most of them. Two of them I participate in, but it is usually just to post progress on a project, or comment on somebody's model. One of the two is really good, but just not much activity in the sub-forums I read mostly.
This forum, however, really is my favorite. I check it a couple of times a day generally... once in the morning before work as I am enjoying my first cup of joe, and then in evening, to see what's up. And the nice thing is, there seems to be plenty of activity in most categories.
And, I really like the way this forum template is laid out. The recent activity window on top is great, and the red alert bubble is very visible.
But most of all, the people here are awesome. Everyone here has been very friendly, supportive, and involved. There is nothing worse than to make up a big post and have it sit dormant.
I only use this one and one more but to be fare thats becoming a homage too one bloke...
This was the first forum i ever joined way back when i started even though i dont get on here very often well as often as i would like..this is one bookmark i will never delete....your doing a grand job long live this modelling haven
I totally agree, I've said it before I'm on a few others, if forced to choose just one there would be no problem choosing
This is without doubt the friendliest forum on the net and I love it here, the only way I will be leaving is in a box, but that won't be a Heller box for sure.
Incidentally I have recently left a forum where I was picked on for daring to post an opinion.
This is certainly my main forum and the only forum on which I now post my builds. I find this forum to be the more friendly and more 'approachable' as some others do seem to have some rather aggressive and 'imperious' contributors. I also belong to Flory Models because I like their reviews and they provide some great video and also Large Scale Planes because of my primary interest being 1/32 and larger, but rarely contribute to them, certainly much less than I do here and don't post my builds to them.
I do post my builds elsewhere, but they are not what I would call forums, Scalemates, which is more a modelling database that is quite useful and Facebook.
