Anyone ever heard of Seminar Plastic Model Co.?

I recently won a 1/35 scale Huey (on ebay) made by Seminar Plastic Model Co. and wondered if anyone has ever heard of them.

A quick (very quick) Google search found that they are/were a South Korean company but couldn't find a website for them (as I said, it was a very quick search).

The reason I'm looking for the website is because the four "realistic figures" have been ripped off the sprue, little plastic tags still attached to them and they'd been stuck together with no real thought at all. Needless to say, they no longer look "realistic."

Needless to say, it wasn't me that butchered the poor guys.

In addition to this the rest of the sprue (including the weapons they're supposed to be holding) is, appropriately enough for a Vietnam War kit, Missing In Action.

So you can see my need to find a replacement sprue. Failing this I'm going to have to try to source a Huey crew from somewhere and hope that they fit and that they have weapons.

Other than this, the kit looks pretty good, but I guess I'll find out how good it is when I come to eventually making it.

    In the stash it goes.

I've not heard of them drew. Is it possible they've just bought up a load of old moulds from other manufacturers so all they're doing is repops of old kits?

You could check it out by seeing if anyone else has made this same version with a crew.

      Thanks Gern.

I've had a quick look and have seen the same box art on a different box. The manufacturer of this one was Hobby World (although the Seminar logo was still on the box).

I've just gone and ordered the Shanghai Dragon U.S Helicopter Crew from a place in China (along with another couple of kits...just to justify the postage you understand).

The box art "suggests" that the weapons come with it.

Fingers crossed that they actually fit.

      Cheers
