    When will it end???

After popping to the model shop for a gander at some new models that were to be available i took a look at some of the made ones on display.

I have now added a further 3 builds to look to once i have made headway into my stash lol

Why did i bother, it will take ages to get this out of my system at this rate hehe

I know the feeling. I went to order one kit and some paints yesterday and ended up with 4 kits. I don't know how it happens!?!

Though I don't have a stash so to speak, I do have 8 models in progress...and it seems like an endless cycle.

I went to the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford recently, Little did I know the sheer amount of models that would be available from the model stands, My entire family of Four had to struggle with carrier bags bulging back to the car. I doubled my stash that day...lol

There is nothing wrong with an healthy stash, the problem is where to put the model when it's done. I first started my little stash with the AFV Club Centurion and it's still there unbuilt, i'll just buy them and think "that'll look great in the next dio". The next dio never turns up and 60 models kits later you have a "healthy stash", and you are telling your wife it's for a rainy day. The thing with me is i'll go into a model shop with one model in mind, come out of the shop with the kit plus two or three more. Thats when you're trying to get back to the car without the wife seeing the big bag you've got.

          Have fun, John

I felt bad having 3 on the go as they were waiting painting. I shall have to learn to live with it then

I try not to carry a stash of more than three or four kits and I only ever build one at a time. The problem is that sometimes I don't buy a kit that I would like to build only to find I can't get hold of it when I do have time to build it! There's always something else to do though.

I know that many of you have several kits on the go at any one time but I just can't do it. I have limited space and, more importantly,am easily confused. A Messerfire or Spit-Wulf MkV would be a distinct possibility I think.

                  Cheers

                  Steve

I learned the hard way. I saw a few kits that I would like in the collection and thought, I will have those one day. One day came and they where gone. No more being made! So if I see something I want I grab it while I can.

So I have a reasonable stash of around 35 kits and TRY to hold it down by only buying when I have built.

Having said that I'm going into town tomorrow, to a model shop. Lets see how that ends....

Stashing kits might become someday the object to some scientific behavioral study.
