    Let me introduce myself...

    Hello everyone,

Just registered to this forum. I have been making papermodels as long as I can remember, and have been designing my own for about a year now. Most notably are the medieaval weapons, the trebuchet and the chess-set. All free, of course, check my website.

I'm currently working on a scalemodel of the Fraeylemaborg, a small castle in Slochteren, the Netherlands, and an armillarysphere, both models due to be released somewhere end 2006. I'm also a moderator at Kartonmodell Forum, a (mostly german) international cardmodellers forum, est. 2005.

    regards

Hi Sheila and a very warm welcome to the forum. It is particularly nice to be able to welcome not only another lady into our midst but also someone from yet another nationality. I actually work with quite a few Dutch colleagues and I have often thought there are a lot of similarities betwen the Dutch and the British. We certainly have a very intertwined history!!

You are certainly amongst a group of quite active paper/card modellers here so I am sure that you will able to exchange many ideas with them and maybe even get a few interesting hints and tips from the other areas of modelling also represented here.

I am going to have a look at your site now and see what ship models there are to browse!

Wow what a great site you've got Sheila. I've never done any paper modelling, but your downloads look fantastic. I look forward to trying some of those projects with my son.

              Howdy Sheila,

I am glad to see you found us, welcome to the forum. I started trying to get the members from this site and the cardmodels site to come together about two weeks ago, and I must say the turn out has been great at both sites.

I am really glad to see that the designers are also coming over to join and visit, it really helps to promote the art of cardmodelling and it allows the members here to ask questions and to see some really great looking models like the ones on your site.

I was also glad to see that your models seem to be an instant hit with this bunch.....of course with them being mostly from the UK, I would think something was wrong with them if they didnt like the medieavel type stuff lol. j/j

Anyway, again, thank you for joining, its really nice to see yet another member from the cardmodels site share their models with the "natives" here.

              Have a good day, :grinball2:

              Greg

Wow, in Lego?! Do you still have it, or maybe a photograph? I would very much like to see that, for I really love this fine little castle.

                    regards
