    St. George day in Catalonia...

    Yep!!

    Tomorrow will be April 23.

    St. George!!

In Catalonia, this day is very important, and is one of my favorites as well!

I know the "meaning" in England is absolutely different and you all compare our day as a simple Book Day.

    Mmmm....maybe

But I love to wake up in the morning and observe all the streets around, full of people, roses and books. An amount of books!!!

    The books are culture....

Ahhhhhh....tomorrow I will forget the glue and the plastic for some hours. I will just walk away and buy many books as possible. And present some roses, of course

    Regards

It sounds as though St George's Day is more widely celebrated in Catalonia than in England Polux - and he's supposed to be our patron saint!

There's not one mention of the day on the BBC website

England is reluctant to calibrate it's patron saint in case it offends some of our diverse population.

                  Have a great day

That's Britain for ya Patrick, scared to offend and so just keep things all quiet. Plus we have no pride in our nation anymore, the Government just don't push things and celebrate our nation-I think a lot of folk are just resigned that what we are is not worth celebrating.
