guess you need a bit of safety when you go out (I would do that as well), but I sort of blanched (as an australian) when my US buddies showed me their hunting gear- A Heckler and Koch Mr 762 assault rifle and a few hunting rifles coupled with an AR 15  O.o

There seems to be what I call "intentional mis-nomenclature" when it comes to so called "assault rifles" NO ONE in the U.S. can actually buy a real assault rifle, the description of which is a weapon that can fire in the fully automatic and semi automatic ranges. ONLY semi auto rifles are sold in this country so their convenient use of the term assault rifle or weapons of war are completely bogus. After being called out on this point many times some media outlets have modified it a bit calling them assault "style" rifles hoping the ill informed anti second amendment crowd or anyone else for that matter won't catch on.


There are many other semi auto rifles on the market that are "styled" after regular hunting rifles, just as powerful and just as deadly, will they try to ban them next?


As happens every time after one of these horrific acts and the following anti gun political diatribe, gun sales go through the roof as is predictably happening at this very moment, one particular gun shop owner stated that just previous to the Orlando terror attack they sold on average about 3 or 4 AR15s a day, since the attack?....5 or 6 AN HOUR! until his stock was completely depleted. Back orders are stacked to the ceiling and the factories can't build them fast enough.


Obama has been given an award by the Firearms mfg.association for being the best gun sales rep in American history ^_^

Just keep a good "knobber " by the door and hope for the best, after all the govt. knows best when it comes to your safety. They all have armed security and couldn't give a blinking hell about you or yours. Come to America, we'll hook you up big time ^_^
