    I'm so dissapointed

OK so my favorite site no longer shows the pictures I upload and is totally changed from how it was, I used to be able to copy and paste from tinypic but not now, I used to use imgur but that won't work with my new tablet, I'm so disappointed, I loved this site, I guess I can now only comment on other builds and not post any of mine.

I take it you cannot upload the pictures via the choose files Ken?

Hi mate I used to be able to compose the thread on here then copy and paste everywhere else, I can still do that but the pics don't show on here( they do every where else though)

I preferred the old site too but hey ho! Just gotta run with it.

Normally im all for change and hate people who won't move with the times but... in this instance I preferred the media section on the old site

Really strange although I use Photobucket.

I actually like the new upload system - best of any of the model forums I use.

Now I don't have to have two tabs open and constantly copy from one place, go yo the 'upload pic' button, paste the image, hit enter to go down one space and start again for the next pic.

Now I just hit 'choose files', pick as many pics as I like from my computer and hit 'go'.,
I don't even USE photobucket here - it's all direct from my computer.

All done in a few seconds.

                  Roy.

As Roy says it's easier to upload the pictures no matter if you are using a computer, tablet or phone, and unlike photo bucket and all the other image hosting sites the images won't disappear in the future.

All images will stay on the server, I never delete any, I have images going back to 2004 from people that uploaded pictures to their posts, you can still read their threads with images still in, you can't say the same for them that used image hosting sites.

hmmm....for me its a backward step, cos now instead of being able to compose a single article that i can use on any forum i have to tailor make one especially for here

but what i dont understand is 'why' tinypic dosnt work.........have you somehow disabled the ability for pics hosted elsewhere to show?

No I haven't disabled it, there isn't an option to disable.

Don't want to be harsh as I do not mean to be but it is not the job of this forum to make it easier to post on others.  It is the job of this forum to provide the best for its members on here and I believe that is what is being done.  I post on three Facebook groups as well as on here, it really doesn't take long.  Just copy your text and then post it before re adding the pictures.  It really is minutes to do even from the iPad.  Much quicker from desktop/laptop as the iPad will not allow multiple selections when uploading.

Really though, it is easy and quick to do.  I don't think any of my posts prior to this year have pictures.  I started with Flickr then went to Photobucket.  Although I still have an account, I don't use them anymore.  I combine iCloud and, mostly, Microsoft OneDrive to store pictures as well as hard drive and external hard drive.

This is one of the few forums that allow you to upload direct without extensive editing/re sizing.  The bandwidth and server storage to make it this easy and secure is expensive and all paid for without subscription.

Yes, this new forum system is different but personally, I find it much easier to use.
