I got a 1/1 scale BB MP40, it is 90% accurate and when it came it was the usual two-tone, this one green and black. I wanted it as a shed hanger so set too and re-painted it. I even attempted re-create the Bakelite grips and bodywork colour. Now, before anyone has a pop about guns etc, this is just for my shed, it will never venture outside. If I do, it will have the end taken back to orange. I just wanted to see if I could get it to look better and realistic rather than toy-like.
1/1 SCALE MP40.

The time scale on this was two days, grey primed, matt black-both rattle cans. Revell Aquacolour: brown, dark red. Lamp black oil paint-buffed with rag. Revell Aquacolour steel for weathering.Comment

Ta Gavin, glad you like it.
Thanks Dave, saw a couple of MP40's with this type of colour and in black, wasn't sure how it would turn out-not too bad in the end
Ta very mucho Lee, did turn out rather well.

Ta Joe, was fun to do and fairly easy-the Bakelite was a beggar to do as to get the colour right-I originally tried to get some swirls in but lost patience
Thank you Stuart, chuffed you like it mate.Comment
