I'm not sure exactly what you want, but the cutting rulers with the wavy cross-section have been around for years, and still pretty good. Cheap too, at £3 to £4. They have graduations, so can be used as an ordinary ruler if you are not doing any cutting. They are steel, so will withstand a fair bit of abuse; or solvents & abrasives to clean it up if you need to

Like a lot of tools, once you have one, you'll wonder how you managed without it

Search & Surf for Jakar Safety Ruler and Maun Safety Ruler

Mitre boxes are usually made for carpenters, but again you could Search & Surf for model making mitre box or model engineer's mitre box, that sort of thing

ta,this sounds more along the line of what I,m looking for,

as if you have a sheet of balsa, and won,t to cut strips of say 5mm of it,so the cut is even, and straight,

down the length,in instead of making each end and cutting with a rule and blade, 9_9

For a balsa stripper I use a razor blade screwed to a block of wood and use washers to space it off to suit the thickness I want.

yes ,Russell, that's the very type of thing, and dose that a right angle edge on one side, ?

I know someone ,not long ago, showed it,and it was you lol,

as for cutting stripes, would save so much time, and thinking, not measuring out both ends, and still ending out but 1/2 or 1/8 of  mm on each cut, 9_9
