    Getting the bench set up

Well, winter is fast approaching and the dark nights are pulling in rapidly here in the U.K. so it is time to think about modelling again.

Got most of my stuff out the shed, the stash and loads of stuff can stay in there, and set up the bench.  Looks so tidy, almost a shame to start but then a mini disaster.

i set up my spray booth and went back to shed to get my compressor.  On the way back to the house my knee gave way and I dropped the compressor.  Fortunately I was still on the grass and no damage done to the compressor but it did snap the hose off at the connector.  No apparent damage to the compressor end as it still functions normally, just the metal end of the hose broken off.

Straight online and ordered a new hose off John and when that arrives, I will be ready for action again.  Going to do a couple of small vehicles, a pair of Citroen vans, to get back into it with the 1/350 Bismarck waiting in the sidelines for the GB in January.

Time to start sniffing glue again.......

Sounds good Graham apart from your snapped hose end.

Always nasty when the knees give out and you snap your nozzle off...

glad to hear that there was no real damage to the compresser . Look forwards to seeing you at the bench again.

My space is currently full of 'stuff' from our living room which is being 'upgraded' according to SWMBO's orders.

I'm keen to start my He 219, but it might be a while and I will have to set up my work area again.

          Cheers

Cheers guys, nope, no injuries sustained apart from feeling a little foolish.

Just as a little aside, I had an email from John at Scale Model Shop saying that he was looking at my order and that I had possibly ordered the wrong hose.  He knew which compressor I had bought off him quite some time ago and he was checking if I was still using it.  This attention to detail and superb customer service is why I keep going back to him for stuff.  Any other company would, quite rightly, sent what I had asked for.  John is not just any other company, he really does go that extra mile.
