    Statement by Hannants regarding Airfix.

Without getting into any panic buying situation,it might be worth considering if there are any kits that you need for your immediate modelling needs, to buy now sensibly,it is likely that Hannants will quite rightly discourage any bulk buying, please think of your fellow modellers who will also have a requirement for certain kits at this time.

    Howdy guys,

Well, I know that this may sound silly, but, www.squadron.com sells airfix models and they claim to have over $2 million dollars worth of model inventory (all manufacturers not just airfix). The silly part I was talking about is ya'll having to "import" what ya'll "export" namely airfix models.

But, if supplies get way down there in the UK, just know that there are other vendors that still have stocks of airfix kits.

I am sitting here with my squadron catalog and have counted atleast 75 different airfix kits in 1:72 and 1:48 scales, this was just the aircraft, I havent even looked at the armor series by airfix.

Anyway, this was just a "heads up" to all of you who may want to buy airfix kits that are hard to come by.

Squadron is a major importer of plastic model kits from all over the world, if you can think of a model company, they probably have kits by them.

If you would like to email or call them for info on a particular kit or manufacturer, or to order a catalog, the contact info is below:

It would seem that your earlier prediction was true Barry.

Heller went into receivership at the end of July and that would seem to be the straw that finally broke Humbrol's back.
