    4 rubber tyres won't prevent lightning striking a car. The electricity will ground itself by flowing through the bodywork & arcing into the ground. As long as you're not touching anything metal, you'd be ok.

            During the '70's when I was up in Scotland competing in a rapid river canoeing competition, me and a dozen others came out of a pub at chucking out time and went for the 'Most people up a lamp post.' world record.

            The iron post snapped at the top, shorted the wires, and plunged the village and most of the valley into darkness.

            Me and two others were banned from future comps. for 6 months!
