    Watercolor Bill

Hello everyone, my name is Bill Hughes, I am a painter (Watercolor Bill) I live

in Palm Springs, California U.S.A. where it is too hot to fly rc in the summer,

it has been about 110 to 120 for most of the summer. I am an old rc flyer

from about 45 years ago and just getting back into flying models. I am a commercial pilot and instructor, got my ticket in 1959. loged a lot of time in the air. Now I am building models and learning to fly all over again.

          Hello everyone,

I have been asked to relate some of my flying experances, well my first plane was a Piper Try Pacer---It had four seats and would carry two people.

I put abpout 400 hours on that little plane and I liked it alot. My second one

was a Cessna 182 Skylane, what a beautiful, dependable, tough, workhorse.

I flew two engines through it over several years including many trips to Mexaco, Canada, and best of all a six week flight to Alaska Including the arctic circle, before Omni navagation. ( "Just follow the river and take the left fork.") My third plane was a Cessna 206 six place that handeld like a semi truck no fun to fly but did have a large payload. I said that I was an instructor, but failed to mention that I am a CFI only in Gliders. The best way to afford staying in the sky! I like to build as much as fly RC but I better learn to fly better because I am doing too much repair work at the bench.
