Hi all my missus was going to our daughters today when a muntjac jumped out, no one hurt (muntjac excluded) which was my only concern anyway on assessing the damage (we have a 350 pound excess) the parts come to about 270 and I think I could install them (basically a new whole front end, plastic wise) should I try and fix it or go through insurance.

Fix it yourself if you have the knowledge to do so, save some money on the excess and save on insurance rise that they will do if you claim.
I had a car hit me and insurance wanted to go 50/50 and would cost us our excess and some no claims and i'm sure a insurance premium rise the next renewal.
The wing is bolt on and I picked one up from a breakers yard online that had one in the same colour and a headlight, was quoted £1200 from a garage, cost me £200 and my time
