YIKES!!

Heard the cats scampering up to the roof rather frantically, looked out window just in time to see three rather large timber wolves saunter by, not fast enough with camera to catch them but think one can just make out their tracks in the dwindling light.
It will be a long night with these three (at least) about. Will have to start scouting them out in the morning, we have a no kill policy (MY policy) but we must keep them moving along. They may be seeking new territory, but NOT here!.......Jimops:

No wonder the cat legged it Jim as much as I like wolves I wouldn't want them running around my property either!

More like I'm on their property and we highly respect them hence "no kill" but it's better for all parties involved to gently persuade them to keep moving. Over population of deer and other prey are increasing their numbers and something may have to be done in future, they can wreak havoc to small farmers livestock and they don't take kindly to them.

I'm glad the only problems I have with wildlife are spiders and the occasional wasp!

oh wow,thats so cool,your very lucky to see them,and I do understand what your saying as well,ok,if they pick off the sick,or old deer,
one morning ,around 8am or so,the magpies were making such a noise,and I need coffee so ,went to the kitchen ,and looked,
out over the back yard,and saw this fox,he was a real big male,
the first thing,were,s my cats,and the small,dog, some one like him,would like,small furry four legged smacks,
over the months I get stray cats ,who I feed,and try to look after the,best I can,and some times,they just gone,no real,
reason,so I think I,know why,and so bold to be out in daylight as well,
then he just hopped over the back fence which is about 7ft,with no trouble at all,
so I got lucky seeing him once,but how offend is he there,

AWWW! Dats nuttin, we've actually had Big foot hunters round abouts over the years, weird lot they are but they are true believers.
I've always thought they were a little loose around the edges until while hunting a few years back alone and absolutely miles from any human habitation I heard unmistakably what sounded to me like someone clacking to pieces of fire wood together in a rather awkward pattern only to stop and repeat the same exact staccato several times
later I was to learn that many "experts" say that's how BFs communicate or sound alarmo_O
Needless to say I've never hunted that area againops: We have other visitors also.........Jim
