For all those travelling down the night b4 - Are there any plans to meet up for a drink and a curry or something the night b4?
I have some jobs to finish off Friday Morning but might be driving down later in the day. Be nice to meet a few fellow Scale Modelers for a drink.Comment

Hi,
I just got back from Cosford - only took 3 hours on the way back too.
It's a shame a few more members of the group couldn't make it on this occasion though.
Still good to put faces to some of the names of the forum members - and Cosford is worth a visit if you're an aviation enthusiast.

Does anyone Recognise what aircraft / type this engine is from? It's from Cosford's Collection but someone had removed the name labels from the display...
It's a big chunk of aluminium about 5 feet tall - it's configuration is 12 cylinders - two inline 6's mated together one inverted and with an output shaft on each end.
It could be from an Aircraft with a single engine powering a Puller and Pusher Propeller...any ideas?
My best guess is a Diesel Airship engine?
EDIT:
Mystery Solved - it's Jumo 205 engine!Comment

I reallly wished I could have been there myself. Unfortunately, it would have been quite the long trip. However, if we ever bring an event like this to the eastern US.. you have me in...
