 muffler for generator engine and the other parts as i build it slowly colin
 
 here are some pics, practiced on scrap spruce to have ago at weathering for the first time 1st pic is just rust weather powder with white spirit to make paste and brushed on 2nd pic is wheather powder with iron oxide and rust with white spirit drop with pipette on and obsorbed 3rd pic is 3 weather powders white, iron oxide and rust dabbed on with brush and tiny bit of white spirit dropped on with pipette. Which one looks best for first timer

 On German tanks very few parts would be rusty. Their maintenance of their vehicles was probably second to none.
 
 Only the exhaust muffler would show any obvious signs of rust, other than perhaps a very small amount in the tow cables & pioneer tools.
 
 I'd leave the exhaust until near the end. Here on my Ostwind I painted it Dunkelgelb first & then added the rust effect with pigments. Once the tank was painted, I attached it.
