    pc playing up getting black screen off death at boot up

    hi guy's having probs with pc every so often. When I turn pc on I get black screen off death so I have to turn it off again from boot up, and then turn it on again and it's fine, not good help please

        Try booting and hit the F8 key until you see a menu
        Scroll down until you see Last known good configuration select this.
        If it boots ok I would suggest a full back and rebuild as it sounds like your OS is in a knot

            What operating system are you using? My dad had a similar problem with his Win 10 machine after an update, I just used system restore to go back to before the update, it's worked fine since.

                I'd try the system restore first before more drastic options, it may sort it out.

                    Yep I agree, wouldn't be the first time a windows update screwed things up.

                      doing reset now up to 36% at moment, asked it not to loose files with all pics in I hope it doesn't or I will be peed off, hope this works ok now. If not down to pc repair shop or hammer either way it will work or not can not afford new motherboard at moment or hard drive so hammer out off question shame that will make it work from little bits and piece's

                              Thankfully it wasn't the graphics card like mine.
                              Just installed a new card - hopefully it won't die last the last one - made sure it was compatible.o_O
