    Big boys gardening

A couple of my shooting buddies were lucky enough to be part of a team that visited Denbies Vineyard in Dorking this week to find and excavate a Covenanter tank. Apparently the area was used as a training ground, and when the Covenanter was replaced by the Churchill they were simply buried!

I believe there are plans to renovate it.

This one was dug out of the same field in the 1970's and now lives at Bovingdon.

All I managed to dig up last time I did some gardening were the rotting corpses of 5 puppies the previous tenant had buried! I just don't have any luck.

You know some folks out west using metal detectors have found entire underground bunkers containing massive amounts of military hardware some still wrapped in cosmoline!
One chap found an underground garage full of M3 halftracks in near mint condition
