    New Babies

Brand new Grand daughter (Erin) and a little visitor.
Found wandering on driveway, one should never try to raise a wild animal, we set him back aways in the bush and will keep an eye on him till mamma comes back for him.

First instinct is to raise him up ourselves but it is not a good thing to try to do.
Eventually he will escape and have no fear of humans or predators which would lead to his hasty demise.
Still not an easy thing to convince the kids (and Grandma) but they know it's for the best.

Brian certainly has his hands full

Congrats on the grand daughter, I think was a mistake to handle the deer mother may reject it with human smell on it.

No, deer are not that sensitive in matters like that, some critters can be, mostly some small mammals, but not deer.
Some bird species can be spooked into abandoning their nests. When felling trees sometimes squirell pups will spill out of a hollow, we just pick them up and set them a little bit aways and take a break from the saws for a few minutes and sure as taxes mamma will retrieve them one by one and relocate them.
