Do women actually make Airfix kits?
I've been to a lot of slightly musty smelling Model Railway Clubs displays in church halls, Weekends at boating lakes with R/C models, Model engineering shows with outstanding works in miniature...models shops selling plastic kits of every description...collections of painted lead figures etc.
There seems to be an odd coincidence in each of these above areas...
They are almost completely frequented by men in cardigans...or men who are too young to wear cardigans but aspire to one day be old enough to wear cardigans.
This may not be a bad thing however the other day I asked the question - has a woman ever made an airfix kit, the second question what was the model of....was it one of those Bird kits airfix used to make or was it some WW2 Panzer or anti tank gun?
