You could set a maximum wing area,or perhaps it would be fair to keep to a set area to give everyone a chance ?

Hi folksThanks a lot. That was of great help.

By "Cardboard" i meant paper planes. That is no Engine , motor or battery. Only paper work and plastic. we have got a dimension restriction of

Entire length - 10 inch (tail to nose)

Wing span - 12 inch in total.

wht are the other parameters that can be taken under consideration ?

    Thanks

    Anand.

I think one of the best ideas is to give the entrants a pre-determined set of materials. They all have to make the best use of them but it allows them to be creative whilst stil maintaining a fairness about the whole thing. That will also automatically set the maximum dimensions and weight of the model.

As you say barry a couple of sheets of card/board/foam etc and a set of basic tools and see what they can come up with.

It reminds me of the old fashioned motorcycle production races 'Proddy Racing' of the seventies.

All the riders took a key out of a helmet and that was thier bike for the race, with all the bikes being identical. Basically it had to be stopped though as it became obvious that the guy who won was the guy who took the most risks and got away with it! It was very exciting racing though!

              Hello Anand,

Ok, below are some links to pages with multiple cardmodels (paper models without any means of propulsion). Just remember these are links to pages with other links........lots of them, so in order to see the photos, you will have to click on a link on the links I am giving you. I am doin it this way so as to give you the maximum number of card models at one time to choose from.

http://www.ss42.com/pt-planemodel.html tons of model aircraft, all for free download.

http://www.3dpapermodel.com.tw/ EVEN MORE paper models, navigate this site by clicking on the type model you want ....in the left hand column. If you should get a download "prompt" to download "chinese fonts", you can cancel the prompt, you wont need the chinese fonts to read the pages.

Ok, the two links above should provide you with well over 200 links to free card model aircraft. And by "browsing" around on the two above links, you will find models of other subjects as well.

I hope this helps, have a good day,

              Greg
