      I loved the L1A1 ultra reliable and completely sqauddie proof unlike its replacement the L98A1 which could practically disassemble its self with a good shake.

        I liked them both...SLR for stopping power and the SA80 because it was lightweight but both weapons in the hands of a matelot...dangerous!
        I much preferred the L7A2...great fun that beast was...!

          I didn't as I had to carry the bloody thing 24lb gets heavy tabbing up and down sennybridge training area

            I was lucky, I didn't have to carry mine anymore than 50 metres or so!? The joys of living on a ship! Lol
            Sennybridge...I've heard lots of dits about life in a British owned German barracks!
