Wot a calamity a real shame

    Jersey battle of Britain week.

Band of Central Airforce scheduled to arrive at the weekend. High winds delayed them until Tuesday. Both out door concerts canceled.

Today we were due the fly past by the Spit Hurricane & Lancaster. Could not get over yesterday high winds. The Arrows got in.

Air show canceled this afternoon. Fog drizzle & frustration. All the kids had the afternoon off & most trooped down to the bay where it was to be held. All wearing red in memory of the loss of the Red Arrow pilot.

A real shame. Missed the Vulcan all canceled.

Most of the smaller aircraft including the Red Arrows are still at the airport so will dive down in the morning to get some photos. Weather permitting.

My first air show since I began making models.

A great pity..... but I'm sure everyone is being very safety conscious at the moment for obvious reasons

Yes you are very right there Andy.

However in this case the airport was closed for civil flights. This morning no different all 12 flights so far delayed.

First time the show has been affected by weather.

Very popular show. We used to have, not sure if this has been stopped probably due to cheats, a mile of pennies laid by the population for those in the RAF who had been injured & for the benefit of the families of those pilots & navigators who have lost their lives.
