IS this of help? http://www.vwgenuineparts.co.uk/VW_speed_warning.shtml
In my car, which is an Australian made General Motors dinosaur, the speed warning can also be adjusted when it activates and shows on the display, simply wind the menu wheel UP and set a new speed. Looks like you need to just press OK on your spaceshipComment

I prefer my cars like Polux do. Land Rover/Range Rover!
First one is a Discovery II facelift -04 (sadly gone now) and the second is my current Vogue -07. It's been serving me very well all these years and it's the best car I've ever owned! (also the most expensive...)
Not cheap to own or drive, but weather and terrain are no longer variables when going somewhere!
Also they're the only cars I can get in/out of comfortably and to drive any distance with my dodgy back...
I admit that I'm a wee bit worried about the diesel situation in Sweden... I wish I could afford an electric conversion of the Range Rover but my days of large scale tinkering are over.Comment

I have to share this with the wife. When I say share, I mean I get weekend use, just about the time it needs a wash.

My brother has an Alfa 159 SportWagon 1.9 JTD, with those 330mm front discs. Despite the moderatly powered 150bhp turbo-diesel engine, it's a blast to drive with great handling.
This was my weekend cruiser for three years until I sold it about a month ago:
...and spent the last weekend driving this home:
