Pleased to hear your wife is ok. There are some idiots out there. He probably sped off due to no license or insurance.

glad your wife is ok. Get yourself a dash cam for the car. It's amazing how many idiots you will catch with it and the police are more than happy to use it as evidence to prosecute.

My first driving instructor, back in 1965, told me "Never forget, every other driver on the road is a blithering idiot". He was almost right.

Forgot to say, glad she's OK and the damage not too bad. Could've been a lot worse.

Glad your missus is okay Ken.

Some proper tools on the road, that is why I now have a front and rear facing camera fitted.

Thanks all yes it could all have been a lot worse, I am more reassured by the fact our car is fairly new (less than a yr old) and should the worst have happened and she was unable to phone for help the car it's self would phone an ambulance, some technology is good.

Glad to hear only a tyre was damaged and not your other half...

Road rage is one thing I don't miss about UK after moving back to Sweden. I was rather shocked the first time it happened to me since it's more or less unheard of here, but being 6.2", wide-chested and a full beard made all of these ยค/&#( drivers quickly go back into their cars again after seeing me
I just don't understand why some people are in such a hurry all the time? If they're always in such a hurry then you just start your journey 10 minutes earlier each time and problem is gone. It really is that simple.
If you have to use M25 during office hours then you add a couple of hours instead of 10 minutes. This based on experience...

Dash Cam as suggested is something all drivers should have really because you never know when something happens and it will be very useful to show insurance people/court/police if someone hits your car, or something. It's much cheaper than car insurance for sure!

                    Stay safe out there!

Glad your wife was ok, but it is a scary experience and shakes you up.
Something similar happened to me 15 years ago. On a single lane road I had to put my car into the bushes to avoid a head on with a speeding delivery van, from the skid marks on the road the police reckoned he was doing about 80mph
