It had to happen.
With all the models I have bought and (often) having a bemused expression on my face, trying to fix seams/ joins, and basically just trying ......
raying:; my wife (Lynn) has now admitted defeat and now has become a scale modeller.
This has it advantages: Lynn is an amateur painter, which means I have now loads of different types of paints and brushes and a load of knowlege in her head about painting techniques. It also works the other way around: I'm often asked how I went about either painting or building a certain model (often by playing by ear or "winging it"...... (cough) I mean "after careful study and application of the materials, alongside research, planning, explicit organisation and references"
)) so it is to mutual benefit. Obviously we have had a "discussion", about what models to buy next, or if I found some bargains, her nose is in the bag, picking out the good stuff for herself.
So far, we have yet to build a model together, both quite happy to do our own thing, but it's nice knowing there is a helping hand or different point of view nearby (obviously not forgetting this forum).
