It's all about the quality of life. Today we are sadly too worried about what others might think of us and what we do that we often restrain ourselves from doing, or trying, something we'd like to do.
I've always done the things I felt an urge to do, tried every stupid idea I got - some who failed miserably, but at least I tried them all!
Yes, you need a patient and understanding partner, or go solo. I did the latter
I don't spend 5 hours every day modelling, but on average I do perhaps 3 or 4, but only due to my eyes and my back. Being creative is what makes me tick.
I can't go out in the garden, let alone go hunting with the dogs. I can't be in the workshop building things out of wood or metal, but I can sit in bed modelling and I'm happy when I'm doing it
I also found a cheap and simple solution two days ago for displaying the models and that's Ikeas DETOLF.
Bli inspirerad och hitta produkter för hemmet. Stort utbud av sängar och madrasser, soffor, garderober, matbord, förvaringssystem och köksskåp.
Normally all Ikea products have Swedish names but Detolf is a made up one, but it's the cheapest display cabinet I've found unless you make it yourself! (good luck making it cheaper though...)
I love what this guy has done with his life, and how they've made his "hobby" fit into the house. I wrote "hobby" because this is more a profession - or obsession - than a hobby, but he seems to be very happy and that's quality of life if you ask me!Comment
