Yesterday, Brigadier Ed Butler, the outgoing commander of the British task force in Afghanistan, paid tribute to the work of airmen in the conflict.

I don't think anyone is doubting that, we all know they do a good job, but there are better ways of "letting of steam" that don't cost the tax payer so much money
