Six countries in Eight days - Nice to be back!

Just spent an enjoyable 8 days wandering around Northern Europe in the motor home.

We did Wales, England, France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. Then reverse back to Wales and home. Stretching things a bit, but it's the truth....

Great campsites (complete with some snow and ice)

We visited Valkenburg (Christmas stuff in big caves). Amsterdam, Brugge. Then finally, Dunkerque for the ferry back to G.B.

Apart from passports, no security whatsoever going out. Coming back the 'Law' was over our van like a rash. Great fun watching them climb over the mountain of boxes of wines and beers looking for 'Foreign bodies' I even lent them my torch so they could have a look in the outside lockers......

Empty ferry yesterday and nice crossing. Went to visit BarryW nr. Dover to collect some gear, then visit my son nr. Oxford. Then straight home - a long day's driving for an old fart ....1200 mls. in total

Nice to be back and time to do me some catch up:smiling4:

    Cheers.
    Ron

Thanks Ian - The Red Sea? Wonderful!

Nearly all of my Scuba diving was done around the Welsh Coast. Nil vis. and bl***y freezing - No 'Mamby Pamby' dry suits in my day, just 5mm neoprene!

Oh the freedom of a motorhome, our neighbour has one and they are off at the drop of a hat.
