I was given the Eduard 1/48 Draken for Christmas by my brother and father and this is a plane that's close to my heart from having them flying over me several times per week growing up!
I've also sat in two of them so the prospect of building one is now making me happy!
The snag is that the kit is a J-35F with decals for only one Swedish Draken, and from the wrong regiment too...
The one I'd like to recreate is a J-35D2. I can get the resin parts to do the conversion, but the decals have proven trickier and the ones I've found costs as much as the kit itself and I remember seeing a listing on eBay for printable water slide decal sheets.
My initial gut feeling tells me this isn't going to cut it because if it did we all would be printing our own decals - and I can't think of a single one I've seen here, but I thought I'd ask the question anyway.
DIY decals. Good or crap? (obviously resolution is depending on printer quality but you can buy a photo printer today for next to nothing so we can assume the actual print quality is excellent in the equation.)
Many thanks in advance!
