I ALWAYS listen to music while at the hobby bench. Currently listening to this - it does require regular stops to get up and jig about a bit - VERY danceable!

Have you tried John Cage? 4'33 would be right up your street. :nerd:

If you listen to Spotify for a while, it generates a 'daily mix', which includes your favourites, but also other artists of a similar genre, which can be good...............or bad, I've listened for over 5 hours at a time ( not all at the workbench ), and can't recall hearing a replay ( or my short term memory is fading )

When working wood or automobiles cold drink & hot music set at 11 are mandatory, but a distraction when modeling. Good music pulls my mind to other times & places.

like Paul (minitinkr ) I find music a distraction. It always takes me back to another time and place. My choice of music that is (mainly 60's stuff).
                John.

Some classical, some folk, C&W and easy listening such as Enya or Clanaad - a real mixture generally!

Pretty much the same answers I gave earlier in this thread…..currently Lucy Ward and Kate Bush, along with some Delius, in heavy rotation.

Well, today I've listened to Leonard Cohen, a blues guitar compilation, and Lonnie Donegan's Greatest Hits. Now for some Vivaldi...

I’ve always got the radio on in my modelling room, now usually tuned to a Dutch alternative-music radio station.
