Any chance of a (free) modelling kit ending up in a child's hands is a winner to me.
I only remember The Sun as a dodgy paper back in my days but I was never a big reader of "paper" newspapers since I adopted the digital form from the very beginning.

Nah, the Mail is in a league of its own, just google its history for a start! Expecting a slap on the wrist for mentioning the "P" word - apologies in advance, mods.

Well, there was probably a reason why I never read it during my 10 years the last time I was in the UK
I actively stay away from all tabloid press because it's mostly all rubbish!

If the paper is less than the cost of the kit you're still a winner because you get one kit - and you get a whole weeks worth of fireplace starter! (but you might have to buy it in a neighbouring town to avoid getting caught)

I've just returned from our village news agent with some milk. Whilst I was there I had a look at this 'Offer'

You have to collect tokens - and then find yourself a W.H. Smith to collect your kit!

              Forget it!

Good news, Paul. I should have gone to specsavers - and not be in such a rush to get home to my soggies!

Nice to get the proper info. Trouble is, it's a twenty mile round trip to get to a Smiths, so for me, it's not really worth it.

No token, £1 for the paper at whsmith only unfortunately and gratefully accept your spitfire then walk out without the paper or put it to good use like any daily paper and make firelighters, toilet paper, papier mache for an airfield diorama, (though maybe for a Luftwaffe dio) Ooooooh, as my nearest smiths is 80 miles away and I could buy 2 kits and have change for what the journey would cost I asked a friend to pop to the one down the road from him and told him to do what he wants with the paper.

There's an article about the Spitfire in the TV mag that comes with the paper.

I got two (the mrs got one too as youre only allowed one per person) , well worth a quid ! the paper is a load of rubbish , the puzzle pages got saved but the rest went in the bin ! The spits look like nice little kits , plenty of detail for a 1/72 . cheers rick for the heads up!
