    JJC sound module

Hi has any one had the same experience as me .

when i fitted my turbo cat diesel to my tug it worked fine ,until i started operating the other units ,namely the bow thruster (two micro switches and a servo).as soon as the BT(bow thruster) is running the sound unit cuts out ,i have even isolted the BT from the main circut with a seperate battery and moved the switches by hand but it still does it.

also there is a interference noise from the servos coming through the speaker :smile11:any ideas  daz

      Daz,

Firstly a warm welcome to the forum. I hope that you enjoy your time here and benefit from our resources and tutorials.

I have a JJC sound unit and I also used to get interference noise from the servo's. When I spoke to Jim he suggested that I use a seperate power supply for the sound system and the servo's. This I fitted and the interference did dissappear.

You may also find that other things such as the thrusters also interfere so using a seperate power supply for the sounds may well sort a few of your problems out.

Make sure that you also use a compatable speaker and play with a cardboard tube to get the best sound quality from it. It actually makes a big difference in sound quality so worth experimenting with a toilet roll centre.

If you are feeling particularly mischeivious you can also plug it into the input of any music centre and have it blasting out of your music centre speakers!!! Upsets the missis but worth it for a few minutes!

A big thanks to all of you for the help with the prob ,had a word with a few friends aswell and found out on some close inspection that the bow thruster motor had no supressers at all ,so it was out with the old and in with a new motor supressed to the hilt and bingo the sound unit works fine .And to top it all the bow thruster works even better (faster motor).

        once again thanks .
