Has anyone ever heard of such a vast tide of humanity arriving on a forum at more or less the same time before now?

This Forum prides itself on being a friendly, open and easy going site. It caters for all types of model making and skill levels.

yes.....and it almost killed the forum they migrated to....in a 24 hour period over 50 people joined.......they didnt want to integrate with original members, started their own GBs, etc....basically just carried on what they were doing at the forum that closed without a thought to the etiquette of the one they joined......i was a GB Moderator there at the time, it caused a lot of bad feeling

but i welcome the refugees from MM, hope you all enjoy your time here

I don't believe that the rash of immigrants that have joined this Forum will cause that type of disruption, they are a friendly well meaning bunch who enjoy sharing their modelling experiences and wanted to find a new home following the sad news on Military Modelling. It is a credit to the atmosphere and members of this Forum that they chose to come here.

lol, i wasnt insinuating the same would happen here........it was when a mainly american forum that specialised in model cars closed and they migrated to a global forum i was on that built all sorts.......but they were americans :smiling6:

there is a calendar for GBs somewhere...Polux is yer man

theres a Military vehicles of the JSDF GB starting in a few days

Yeah, there are quite a few. We currently have two types of GB. One set is organised by Polux and the other are member-suggested. As I understand it, the only difference between the two is that member-suggested GBs need at least ten folks to enter before the mods set up a specific thread.

If you scroll through the Forums section on the home page, you'll find a whole section dedicated to the GBs.
