Hi Marcello, thanks lad. Yeah I can imagine it's not one of the more 'fun' sides of the job. We didn't expect this to happen frankly, we just thought she had an infection in her mouth...maybe we could have prolonged here life a bit but there's no sense in making her suffer any longer really. Luckily there's such thing as a vet and putting them gently to sleep...
Sad day for me, no more kittycat...:(

Wouts.
Sorry mate, it's a bummer when we loose a pet. Pity you having to tell the children when they come home .
Mono is out of any pain, you did the kindest thing really, but it's hard to accept .
Love to all

Scottie, thanks bud
Colin, thanks, and like the way you put it 'being owned by a cat'...it's basically true indeed ^^
Hi John, thanks a lot gent...Only Amélie really understood, the other two don't really...though Julien (4) mentioned Mono is now with his uncle in heaven...but other than that the concept of death is still quite abstract to him, luckily ^^ And indeed, the puttypoe has no pain anymore that's what counts. Still quite odd, yesterday she was still enjoying a sunbath, today nothing anymore...I'm a 'carpe diem' person and things like that make me realise that you need to try and enjoy each and every day when possible
Hi Peter and Andy, thanks a lot fellas, means a lot. Andy: it was ok, luckily their still young
CheersComment

sorry for your loss
as a cat daddy i can feel for you
i was always a dog person til my partner moved in and brought her old cat Tiff, she was so special to me as she converted me to a cat person. when her time came it really was hard. they are a member of the family. we have two now as it was so quiet with out a little furkid running around
when the time is right, go to a rescue centre and save a kitty in Mono's memoryPer Ardua
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no ones beenComment

Hi Wouter, sorry to read about your loss.
Although I don't have a pet, I know they become a part of the family and their departure is always heartbreaking...
Take care

Hi Wouter
So sorry my friend. I too was in that place 10 weeks ago today (5.55pm) when my stunning cat Felix passed away with the same cancer in the mouth. Cried is not the word! Although we still have 4 moggies he was by far my cat and his urn sits on my bench never far from me.
But last week we choose another moggie a rescue cat with a very sad story, he is at present hiding under my bedside cabinet! He comes out to eat and is a surperb hide and seek champion. Its my new project, get him to trust us then spoil him rotten. He will then realise that not all humans are scum
So take your time and get another one to love!
Regards to the family
