Well, there seems to be lots of individual mention of 'man caves' etc. but no centralized thread, so if management will permit, I'd like to begin just such a topic.
And I didn't want to exclude any female members, so work space is a more universal term.
I thoroughly enjoy seeing others' places of moggelling mayhem, so please post your workbench/table/corner/lap/etc.

Here's mine, the newly vacated second bedroom of three, located upstairs.
One could always wish for more room, but this is the largest expanse I've held title to yet, though I do have to share with the wife's Lego collection and some remnants belonging to my daughter which must remain in the room.

The new glass doored cabinet adds some valuable storage while also providing some nice display space as well!
Now I have everything in place and don't have to go through the old 'set up/tear down' routine to use the paint booth, so no more excuses not to finish in a timely fashion! :flushed:

This is also the game room, with a 6 foot folding table for plenty of map space available for the big campaign games (Red Barricades for example).
The large black object against the wall is a folio I made for these large ASL maps which I laminated, so this way they remain flat.

I have another of the LED lamps on order so I don't have to keep moving around the one on the desk.
I have three more organizers similar to the ones storing the Lego to use for supply storage, I just have to shoehorn them in somewhere.
I may only use two since I'll probably have to stack them, as further floor space is not available.

My previous tract of modelling property was merely the same desk, in the master bedroom:

The little drawers contain plastic figures, accessories, Warhammer 40K leftover figures parts, etc. Underneath the desk on the left, hidden by the open kit box, are model kit boxes filled with spares. One for M113-series parts, one for M26/M48/M60-series parts, one for 40K vehicle parts, one with Sherman parts, two with only wheels and tracks, one with pretty much anything that doesn’t go in one of the others, and a few old ones that are mainly just storage for stuff I hardly ever need to rummage through

This photo is taken from the same place but to the left, showing paints, accessory sets, unfinished models, and too much other junk:

The open drawer contains two layers of acrylic paints and is permanently open because I use these most, the top one contains a layer of enamel paints (mostly Humbrol, some tins going back to the 1970s — though I bought those second-hand, it also contains some of my own from the mid-’80s, and they’re still usable if you don’t mind stirring until your fingers ache) as well as spare acrylics. Inside and on the floor in front of the cabinet are accessory sets and a few resin conversion kits, on top it are some raw materials and a number of partly finished models that may or may never be completed. Some of them have been there for a decade or more … Visible at the top left of the photo are bagged accessory sets and figures hanging from fibreglass rods I put up for the purpose, plus something like 15 sets of genuine X-Acto No. 11 knife blades I managed to buy for next to nothing a few years ago. (I mention these because real X-Acto blades have been impossible to buy in the Netherlands for twenty years or more, at least around where I live, and for something like 50 cents a packet, I couldn’t pass up on them.)

Also don’t forget the radio, very important when building tedious bits like tank suspensions.

And this is the right side, taken from inside the room because else the photo studio is rather in the way:

The old (1998) iMac I did use for looking things up online and to access photos on my main computer, but it’s gotten so sluggish, not to mention the browser on it’s so out of date, that it hasn’t been on for years — hence the keyboard being used to put stuff on I’ve been thinking I should put another one of my (less-)old computers there instead so I have a usable one again, but haven’t got round to it yet.

Above the photo studio are more fibreglass rods, but now with metal wargames figures and related ones (like about half a dozen metal Discworld figures waiting to be built and painted) plus some raw materials like nylon fishing line, copper wire, and unopened superglue. The shelves behind the studio are full of fantasy/science-fiction wargames figures in various semi-painted states.

Mine is about to undergoe a complete re make so I will post it up after. At the moment it looks a tad like a Council landfill site. Hopefully the makeover will be an improvement.......

It must be nice to be grammatically correct all the time, and having nothing better to do than publicly embarrass a member of this forum by pointing out such a minor typing error.

It may be grammatically incorrect, but it’s technically accurate....the speed belongs to the subject referred to as it....if the speed belonged to me grammar would indicate this as “Tim’s”, so why can’t “it” own anything.....
