Hornby Vs Airfix

Hi folks

I've noticed there are new hornby model kits on eBay...has anyone ventured one of these yet and if so are they any better / worse than airfix? (I assume they may use the same moulds). Although I started on Airfix I wasn't a huuuuuuuge fan of them. Any comments are welcome as I'm interested to find out how they measure up.

Can only see cars so far, e.g. item# 330056425622.

Or just type "hornby model kit" in the search box.

It does make reference to Scalextric but confirms it is a model kit.

They are meant to be used as bodies for scalextric cars. They do not have a great deal of fine detail (you can tell by the price). But as body kits they are perfect.
