    Cars are fickle things

I have an oil seal gone on my car cost £5 plus two gasket's at £1.50
Labour is expected to be £250 why because the radiator has to come out followed by the fan and then the timing chain cover just for a £5 oil seal I could do it myself but one needs a hydraulic press to put it in.
Cars are fickle things and a pain.

Does a new timing chain cover come with the seal inserted? May be cheaper than the above if you can DIY. PaulE

Parts like the timing chain covers are rare things for my car but I would have changed it as a precaution

Like a plug left out off a basin, and the tap running. All right while there running well. Hard luck, b***y things.
