Why can't I see the pics?

Good evening all. Computers are not my forte so any explanations would be helpful. I don't have a problem with viewing the majority of posts on here when pics are posted but, occasionally a post will come up and the area where the pic should be is just blank or there's the small square with a cross in which I've right clicked and asked it to open the pic but to no avail.

Usually that means the original poster has removed the photo from their data base or left the forum and deleted all their photos.

This means that the web page (in this case the forum post) includes instructions for your browser to show a picture, but it can’t find that picture. There’s nothing you can do about it: whoever made the site or post must correct it, either by changing the page so it points to the right image, or by making sure there’s an image at the place being pointed to.
