    Hello & Happy New year

Hi everyone. I've just joined the forum, so I thought I'd start by saying hello to one & all.

My main hobbie subject is R/C model boats, of which I have built several in the past. I usually get bored with them & sell them on ebay, & then start another project. I've just finished, well almost, as you could keep going on for ever, a 1:72nd scale HMS Leeds Castle patrol vessel, which was my brothers last ship before leaving the RN.

My latest project, which has been on the shelf for a while now is the billings "Calypso", which is comming on nicely. This brings me to the question, Has anyone out there built this boat before, as I have a few questions that need answers !!!

Other builds in the past include Model slipways Trent, HMCS Sentinel, Loyal Moderator, Robbe U47, Billings Coast guard the larger version, ehich I converted to a Waveney Lifeboat, A couple of Atlantic 21 lifeboats.

Anyway enough waffleing I'll add some piccys when I find out how to display them. All the best Dan.

PS don't forget anyone who has built the Calypso remember me. Cheers.

      Howdy Dan,

Welcome to the forum and Happy New Year back at ya'. Like John said, we are always glad to have new members. You will find many other modelers who enjoy R/C boats/ships and/or subs here, so I am sure you will fit right in.

Again, welcome to the forum and have a Happy new year.

Hi Dan and a very warm welcome to the forum. There are a number of fellow boaters here but I think one of the great advantages of this forum is where modellers from other areas of the hobby share techniques that you may not normally associate with your own particular subject.

Enjoy your time with us, make the most of our resources and feel free to add to them as and when you feel like it.
