The Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month of the Eleventh Year...

Nothing to do with models but it is about a tribute to our Armed Forces and their sacrifices on Armistice Day.

I am chairman of the Hellfire Corner Association and we are organising an Armistice Day concert in Britain's Front Line Town - Dover. If any members (or lurkers) on here are within travelling distance perhaps you would like to join us.

    A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

In aid of The Royal British Legion and Frontline Dover Armed Forces Day Weekend.

A concert and act of remembrance.

Opening Trumpet Fanfare: the Duke of Yorks Royal Military School.

    Act 1 - WW1 and WW2 remembered

Act 2 - WW2 and Current Conflicts remembered

The Last Post and Revele: Sea Cadets and The DOYRMS

    with a poppy drop.

Starring: The Swingtime Sweethearts and The Clover Sisters

Other performers: The Kent Marine Cadets

Arrival music: Dover Air Cadet Band

    Cody Boogie Boy Lee

    Mickie Driver

    Tickets £12.50 and available from:

    Hellfire Corner Association

    15 Effingham Crescent

    Dover

    CT17 9RH

SAE please and cheques payable to Hellfire Corner Association - ticket sent by return of post.

This will be a fantastic evening of colour, spectacle and music while remembering those who gave so much for our freedom and those engaged in conflict now. Held in the historic Dover Town Hall.

I hope that you do not mind me posting this here but it is for a good cause and in making our models I see us honouring, in that way, what our armed forces have done for us so I believe that it is fitting.

Scotlands also a distance unfortunately, but primarily .. due to other commitments in Nov i'm sorry i won't be able to make the show. I'm actually quite dissapointed.

Hope it all goes well and everyone enjoys the show, like Laurie it sounds right up my alley what with the era for the music an' all.

Best wishes for an eventfull evening.

Sounds like a great event. I hope it all goes well, you can't have a better cause. It's out of my range but I'll be doing something locally if I'm at home.

        Cheers
