I kind of like these quick-assembly kits from Hobby Boss, with the fuselage and wings moulded as single pieces. They’re simple, but far from rubbish, is my experience. If only they’d add a separate part for the cockpit rather than moulding it integrally with the fuselage. Oh wait, this one seems to have just that — the three I have (all WWII planes) don’t.

If they were to package these with a pot of glue and some paint like Airfix, Revell, etc. do, they would probably make far better starting kits than most others.

Stocking up with a few more goodies from SMS

Colours & clears for the A-10
Some (hopefully) decent CA glue since mine is rubbish!
Croc clips were cheap as chips and I already had the skewers
A slower brush on glue as I seem to get Contacta everywhere :smiling2:
And some other bits & bobs to play around with.

A package deal with a twist. Only the 13th MD 'Handshar' set is 100% complete. The other 3 sets contain only 2 figures and have the complete weapons sets included. The real reason I went for this package was I needed the the weapons from the Nachtjäger set with the IR scopes and power packs. Does anyone remember my project Night Moves '45???

Indeed Paul, I'm another, I think he thought we'd forgotten. On no Dude 1 we are waiting, but get that V2 finished first.

                    Hi Dave,
Yes there is a bit of a theme, yes I've seen the Zvezda 251's, but considering what you get in the box I'm more than happy with this lot each kit comes with a driver and 3 out of the 4 came with additional figures
                    regards Jim

Today brought the delivery of those wheels for the BA series armoured cars. Also in the haul was some smg barrels and 3 aluminum barrels.

Allen aka Dude 1 had kindly bought them on my behalf from a German Model shop.

Allen has very kindly included this in the package, I had wondered why it was quite large, just suspected he had gone to a lot of trouble to pack it well , how wrong can you be . Top Man

                        Thanks Buddy.

Well nor we can get on with the BA20 in style .

While I was out and about in town I managed to pick up a " reed " brush , they've been out of stock for some time.

It's made of flexible silicone rubber, and is intended to be used for cleaning make-up brushes, but it works pretty well for paintbrushes:

Certainly helps to work up a lather, and avoids having too much skin contact with the brush soap.
This was from a shop at the East Midlands Designer Outlet near Mansfield, but I think Wilko have something similar.

Two of the most ridiculous concepts that really flew! The Kopro model is old school injection, the Valom more of a modern short run...................
