If you break the aerial, you can also build the tank without. Far from all tanks had radios at this stage, especially Russian ones.

At an autojumble today looking for classic car bits, but somehow this came home with me:

Missing the brushes and cement, but that's no great loss. The sprues are still in sealed bags. I got it down to £8.
Then I picked 4 of these up for £1 each, but I'd got home before I realised they're "For Polycarbonate", so presumably lacquer that Click image for larger version

The polycarbonate paint is go on radio controlled car bodies I think....I don’t think it dries properly on styrene, but you could trial it on sprue offcuts....

            Morning all,

Yesterday I attended the annual Model Days at the museum in Stammheim, Germany. Of course it would have been rude not to support the vendors in attendance. I had also stated that I would not buy anymore kits. I almost kept my word (it's not a whole kit) really......

This one is from Schatton Modellbau here in Bayern. When I saw this kit, I had to know how much it costs as I really wanted it. The firm owner runs the stand, so I asked. He said €45 which is a fair price. we got talking and I asked if he had a kit of this trailer without the side boards and front/back boards. He said no, opened the box, took out the 4 pieces, and said, "now I do"......He further said, "I mold these and it's no problem and the 4 parts can be used for another trailer kit". I then asked what he wanted for the rest and he said €35,

Whipped out the wallet and it was a done deal and it's not a complete kit! We talked and I told him I needed the trailer for a piece of V2 equipment. He pulled out a book on the V2 and showed me what he hopes to cast one day. The launch pad assembly that was mounted on a railroad car. Now that would be one hell of a kit. What a really nice person!!! Anyway, a few needed things,

The bus wheels are the same as the normal 8 hole Blitz wheels, but €2 cheaper. Go figure...References are also really nice to have as long as they aren't too expensive,

A great series of books with loads of pics, info and color profiles. The motocykle book was €5, Maultier €12.

The Heinkel book was €5 too and no, I'm not going over to the dark side of wing thingys. I do have the Revell kit in the stash to try one day. The paint book was €8 and nicely done in color. I also heard good stuff about the MIG cement. It's supposed to work better and faster than TET. Gotta give it a shot and see!!!

Sorry for the long post and that's all folks. No kits (ok?) and pics from the show/museum will be posted later.

Does that set contain only one wheel while that for the L 4500 A contains multiple wheels? (Sorry, I don’t deal well with inconsistencies like on these labels )

                Jakko,
These are complete sets with 7 wheels in both. The Opel Blitz bus set is cheaper than the normal Opel Blitz truck set and I don't know why, as they are identical, but €2 saved is great….

Got this bargain set of brand new Tankograd photo books from Paul Meekins tent at the Yorkshire Wartime Experience on Sunday
Hard backed and each with 450-500 pictures at a great discount - couldn't resist
                  Wow Simon.
That was a great find, don't think you can better Tankograd books anyway but at that price it was a no-brainer.

I was making a joke about the labels One says (for the benefit of those here who don’t speak German): “Wheel set” while the other says “Wheels set”.

I just noticed that myself….Radsatz versus Rädersatz. I never really paid attention to the wording, only their contents! Too cool!!!
