Hi guys. My grandson PJ (we're building the Revell He219 at the moment) wants to be able to access the forum. He has limited computer skills - like me- so I'd like to get him registered using my PC so he can access the site using his X-box 1 from home. Unfortunately, when I look for the forum, my PC automatically takes me straight to my own log-in page. Can anyone tell me if I can set up a log-in for him and if so, how?

Hmm I think you will need to register him as a new member and all that then just give him the password. (thus he will only have acces to his profil and not be able to black mail you for half your stash. lol

 Good thinking that man!

If he Googles the site on his X- box, he'll be able to register on his own, but his computer skills are somewhat lacking so how can I explain to him how to set up his registration? I only ask 'cos it's been so long since I registered I've forgotten how!Comment

All he needs to do is:- Go to the site https://www.scale-models.co.uk in the web browser on the X-Box
- Click on Register at the top right of the page
- Fill in the registration form that appears
- Follow instructions that come after that — this most likely includes that he will receive an e-mail in which is a link he must click on, which will take him back to the forum to activate his account

 Hi Dave.
Can you remember when you set your computer up how many accounts you opened up on it? and if its a windows system not apple etc ? If it was only 1 then that is your computers admin account so you shoud be able to add an account for your pc in PJ's name. from that account you can then lopen the formun registration in his name and password.

Good luck Dave, its all trouble as far as I concerned, got locked out of my email account last week . They say they don't recognise the pass word. Only had it for years since I joined them in the early 1990s. Don't reconise me my foot !!

Thanks Jakko! That's exactly the idiot's guide I needed. I'll give PJ a ring and try to talk him through the process on the 'phone. Not sure if he has an email account anywhere, but his mom does so I assume he could use that? All he needs to do is:- Go to the site https://www.scale-models.co.uk in the web browser on the X-Box

I only set up one account originally Jim. That was long before PJ was old enough to try his hand at modelling and I saw no need for more than one as I don't know any other modellers other than you guys on the forum.Hi Dave.

 You’re welcome

E-mail accounts are ten a penny if he needs to make one — I hear https://www.gmail.com is somewhat popular, for one Just make sure he remembers (writes down) the address and password to the e-mail account. Hi Dave,
That being the case if you click on the windws icon on the bottom left corner, then cick on the cog wheel (settings) you should then see 8 icons the one you want is the accounts one, from there you can open an account on your computer for PJ and then from there open an account on the forum for him, he can then access it from his xbox with the forum login details you used to open his forum account.

That doesn't sound too difficult Jim - even for a man of my limited computer savvy! I'll be in touch with PJ tomorrow and if he can't get set up on his own, I'll give your idea a try. Thanks!Hi Dave,
