    Funny thing is, if you re-produced the below on a model, how many people would throw teddies and spit dummies about it all being wrong. Hope the flippin' link works..

      Looks like it was chrome plated, I assume it's an advertisement for 'liquid metal'.
      One question - why would anyone want something so shiny?

        Why, well let's face it, there are enough 'original' types of P51's around, maybe the owner just wanted to stand out from the crowd. But imagine the cleaning.

          But on the other hand, polished metal is very slick and the weight saved by the lack of paints and primers must be considerable....
